Does DigitalOcean really not support Windows?
Correct — DigitalOcean is Linux-only by design (their infrastructure is Linux-optimised KVM). For Windows workloads you'd need Vultr, Linode, AWS, Azure, or DigiRDP.
Is DigiRDP as dev-friendly as DO?
For the deploy-first basics, yes. DigiRDP has cPanel web hosting, Linux VPS with Ubuntu/Debian/Rocky, Docker support, root access. REST API is on Q2 2026 roadmap.
What about DO's App Platform and managed databases?
Those are PaaS features DigiRDP doesn't match yet (roadmap Q3-Q4 2026). For now run your own DB on a second VPS or use an external managed DB provider.
Is crypto payment faster than DO's cards?
