What is a Looking Glass?
A looking glass is a public endpoint that lets you run network tests — ping, traceroute, MTR, BGP lookups — directly from one of our datacenters. Use it to measure real latency from your location, confirm routing paths, and download test files to benchmark throughput before placing an order.
How to benchmark our network
Three quick checks tell you whether a region is fast enough for your workload.
Run a ping test
Open the looking glass for a region, paste its test IP into your terminal, and run ping. Anything under 80 ms to your location is great for RDP, games, and VoIP.
Check the route
Run mtr or traceroute against the test IP to see which carriers your traffic hops through. Clean, short paths = stable connections.
Download a test file
Pull a 100 MB or 1 GB test file from the region. Compare the download speed to your internet plan — if you hit near line-rate, the network is healthy.
Pick a region to test
Each link opens a public looking glass hosted inside that datacenter.

What you can test
Looking-Glass FAQs
mtr output and we'll investigate the carrier in question. We can also move your service to a different region at no cost. How to Read Your Test Results
Three simple checks tell you whether a DigiRDP location is a good fit for your connection:
- Ping — lower is better. A low, steady ping to a data center means responsive, interactive RDP sessions and faster round-trips for trading and automation.
- Traceroute / MTR — look for a clean, direct path with no packet loss and no sudden latency spikes. That signals healthy routing to the data center.
- Test file download — if the test file pulls close to your own line speed, the network to that location has plenty of headroom for you.
Test Latency Before You Buy
The Looking Glass lets you verify performance from your exact location before you spend a rupee or dollar — no account needed. Run a ping and traceroute to the DigiRDP data center nearest your users, then download a test file to confirm real-world throughput. It is especially useful for forex and algorithmic traders picking the lowest-latency region, agencies serving a specific country, and anyone running SEO tools, scraping, or automation where routing and speed directly affect results.
Choosing the Right Location to Test
DigiRDP runs Looking Glass endpoints across 15+ global locations. Test the location closest to your target audience — not just closest to you — since your users' distance to the server is what shapes their experience. Every endpoint runs on the same Tier 3+ data center infrastructure (via partners like Equinix and QuadraNet) that powers live DigiRDP servers, so the numbers you see reflect production performance.
Why Test on DigiRDP's Network
Every Looking Glass location sits on NVMe SSD servers with DDoS protection and ports up to 1 Gbps — the same stack behind our Windows RDP, Cloud VPS, and dedicated servers. A 99.9% uptime SLA and 24/7 support mean the performance you benchmark today is what you keep in production. Prefer to try the real thing?
